Brasserie Lupulus
Belgium · Founded in 2004
Brasserie Lupulus is a family-owned brewery located in Courtil, a small village in the municipality of Gouvy, in the Belgian Ardennes, in the province of Luxembourg. The brewery was founded in 2004, originally to supply beer to the adjacent bistro. One of its co-founders, Pierre Gobron, was previously involved with Brasserie d'Achouffe alongside Chris Bauweraerts, bringing considerable Belgian craft brewing heritage to the project. The brewery produces a range of Belgian-style ales, including blond, tripel, and dark varieties. Among its beers are the Lupulus Triple Blonde, a dry and spicy Belgian tripel, and the Lupulus Bruin Bio, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale brewed with organic ingredients. The portfolio reflects a commitment to traditional Belgian brewing techniques, with a focus on bottle-conditioned, artisanal beers that are characteristic of the Ardennes region. Brasserie Lupulus has gained recognition both locally and internationally, featuring in beer collections and receiving strong visitor reviews, with a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor. The brewery also produces its own cheeses alongside its beers, offering visitors a full artisanal experience. A taproom and bistro on site make it a notable destination for beer enthusiasts exploring the Belgian Ardennes.
