Big Drop Brewery
United Kingdom · Founded in 2016
Big Drop Brewery is a British craft brewery founded in November 2016 and based in Ipswich, England. The brewery was established with a clear and focused mission: to brew low-alcohol and alcohol-free craft beers that do not compromise on flavour or quality. From its early days, Big Drop quickly gained national attention and secured listings in major retailers such as Tesco, establishing itself as a pioneer in the growing low-alcohol beer movement in the United Kingdom. Big Drop's portfolio centres entirely around beers with a very low alcohol content, including styles such as pale ale, lager, and brown ale. The brewery has carved out a distinctive identity in the craft beer world by demonstrating that low-alcohol brewing can deliver the same complexity, hop character, and malt depth as full-strength beers. Their 330ml bottled range made the brewery accessible to a wide audience across London and beyond from an early stage. In recent years, Big Drop has pursued a licensing model to scale its production and distribution. In 2023, the brewery entered a licensing partnership with In Good Company, and in late 2024 a further licence was awarded to Keystone Brewing Group, with production moving to Black Sheep Brewery. These partnerships reflect Big Drop's growing reputation as a leading name in the alcohol-free and low-alcohol craft beer category in the UK.
