My Antonia is a landmark collaboration between Birra del Borgo in Italy and American craft brewery Dogfish Head, first brewed in October 2008. This Imperial Pilsner marries European brewing tradition with New World hop innovation, crafted to balance old-world elegance with contemporary American boldness. The beer pours hazy golden with a thin white head. On the nose, sweet caramel and floral notes emerge alongside hints of dried orchard fruit. The palate delivers rich fruity character—apricot and berries—layered with honey from the pilsner malt. A blend of American and Noble hops (Simcoe, Warrior) adds peppery spice and citrus bite without overwhelming the malt foundation. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy yet balanced, with solid bitterness that finishes clean and dry. Peppery hop notes linger elegantly in the aftertaste, leaving a refined, warming conclusion.
