About
Zucca is Birra Baladin's pumpkin ale, born from the brewery's connection to Piozzo, a village near Cuneo in northern Italy known for its pumpkin festival. The beer contains 17% pumpkin in the grist, combined with a variable spice blend that shifts between batches. The result is an amber-orange beer with a thick, persistent head and warming aromas of cinnamon and toasted grain. On the palate, Zucca is rustic and cereal-forward, with subtle sweetness from the pumpkin. The body is light with soft carbonation and a dry finish. Founded by Teo Musso, Baladin reinterprets the American pumpkin ale tradition through a distinctly Italian lens, celebrating local agricultural heritage in every bottle.
