Entangle is an imperial milkshake IPA from Manchester-based Wander Beyond Brewing, established in 2017. This single-hop beer features Simcoe, loosely based on their Illicium recipe. Brewed with oats and lactose for a silky body, Simcoe brings fruity and pine-forward character that complements the natural sweetness of the beer. The nose displays fruity hop aromas with a noticeable alcohol warmth. On the palate, bitterness comes through strongly, supported by a full, boozy character. This is a well-balanced beer that delivers both the sweetness expected from a milkshake IPA and the flavour intensity of the Simcoe hop.
