Oxford And Loran is an Imperial Pastry Sour from Manchester-based Wander Beyond Brewing, launched in 2017. This beer merges the styles both Wander Beyond and partner Arpus are known for best. It begins with a base imperial sour fermented with maple, then layered with a generous blend of berries: redcurrants, blueberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries and blackberries. The nose reveals lactose, blackberry, funk and yoghurt notes. On the palate, a powerful wave of sweet dessert berries meets a refreshing sour finish. The beer pours deep red with a pink head. At 11% ABV, it delivers a bold and complex drinking experience.
