Captain Blackbird '20 is an Imperial Vanilla Stout from Bird Brewery in Amsterdam, matured in bourbon barrels. This 10% beer merges the full, roasted character of an Imperial Stout with subtle vanilla notes and oak influence. The nose reveals dark coffee, roasted malt and soft vanilla. On the palate, a full, creamy body unfolds with flavours of dark chocolate, espresso and caramel, supported by the warmth of bourbon aging. The finish is long and warming, with lingering vanilla and oak. A complex, indulgent beer for lovers of intense, sweet stouts.
