The Belgian brewery has practised mixed fermentation and oak barrel maturation since 1930, giving this fruit beer depth beyond typical lambic-based raspberry beers. Initial sweetness evokes raspberry lemonade with hints of blackcurrant, then a pleasant tartness emerges. Roasted malt contributes subtle caramel undertones that frame the fruit. The finish is fruity and semi-dry, with a lingering, lively aftertaste.
