The brewers employ specialty roasted malts—pale, melanoidin, amber, carafa and torrified barley—plus assertive bittering hops to build flavour depth. At 4.5% ABV, this is a welcoming entry point to the style rather than a heavyweight. Dark roasted grain shines through with notes of caramel supporting the dominant coffee and chocolate notes.
