Scelling 6 is a golden blonde ale from Terschellinger Bieren, brewed on the Frisian island of Terschelling. The brewery was founded in 2011 when owners Jolle Dijkstra and Ria Baldee set out to create their own beer. This blonde is built from five malt varieties and three hop varieties, including Cascade, with wild cranberry adding subtle fruit character. The result is a fresh and fruity blonde with a full, compact head. The nose and palate reveal summer fruit notes—apricot and peach—balanced by a dry bitterness that makes the beer thirst-quenching and refreshing. The interplay between sweetness and bitterness, shaped by the malt bill, hops, and fermentation, creates an approachable everyday blonde.
