About
Stift Engelszell resumed brewing in 2012 at its Austrian abbey on the Danube, after more than eighty years of silence. The Trappisten Zwickl is an unfiltered blonde Trappist beer made with top fermentation, which brings out the fruity aromas and flavours characteristic of this brewing tradition. At 4.7% ABV, this is an approachable Trappist beer that delivers genuine character. The top fermentation introduces typical ester-driven notes, while the unfiltered nature adds texture and flavour depth. A beer that reflects the contemplative heritage of the abbey in every pour.
