About
Nivard is a light golden Trappist pale ale from Stift Engelszell, an Austrian abbey that returned to brewing in 2012 after an 83-year hiatus. Named after one of three abbots in the monastery's history, this beer reflects the brewery's revival of a tradition dating back to 1590. Soft and approachable, Nivard balances gentle sweetness with subtle fruit notes and a light spice character. At 5.5% ABV, it drinks smoothly without heaviness, offering a refreshing take on the Belgian pale ale style.
