About
Stift Engelszell's Festbier comes from an Austrian monastery with a brewing tradition stretching back to 1590. After production ceased in 1929, the abbey reopened its brewery in 2011 and joined the recognised Trappist breweries. This Festbier follows the Oktoberfest tradition at 6% ABV, balancing malt and hop character with a crisp finish. The nose reveals malt, brown sugar and subtle fruit notes, while the palate shows malty sweetness with a dry aftertaste. A straightforward, well-crafted seasonal ale.
