Schapenkopje Amber was Stadsbrouwerij Dordrecht's inaugural beer in 2006, marking a milestone for this educational brewery housed in a centuries-old brewing location in historic Dordrecht. Brewed with dark malt, this dark amber ale develops a distinctive sweet character balanced by pleasant bitterness. At 7% ABV and crafted with the brewery's own yeast strain, it delivers a robust, flavourful ale. The brewery employs top fermentation, where yeast rises during fermentation to create full flavour expression. This amber ale draws on German and Belgian brewing traditions while embracing English ale-style character.
