Balthasar is a top-fermented tripel from Stadsbrouwerij De Koperen Kat in Delft. This unfiltered and unpasteurised beer pours a clear blonde colour with a full, lightly bitter flavour profile. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer drinks lighter than expected, with a fresh and fruity character that keeps it approachable. De Koperen Kat has been brewing since 2011 in a converted cable factory on Schieweg. With Balthasar, the brewery created a tripel that balances refinement with drinkability. The beer pairs well with meat dishes and traditional Dutch cuisine.
