Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier is the classic smoked lager from Bamberg's Brauerei Heller-Trum. This dark, bottom-fermented beer is brewed with beechwood-smoked barley malt, delivering a distinctive smoky and meaty character. The aroma evokes smoked bacon, German sausage and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, the beer is well-balanced: smoky malt flavours blend with brown sugar, dried fruit and a touch of herbs. The finish is clean and dry, with gentle bitterness that never dominates. Lagering takes place in century-old caves beneath the historic brewery.
