Pricus is a robust Doppelbock from Pontus Brewing, the Amstelveen microbrewery founded in 2013 on gypsy brewer Nando Servais's vision of enriching the contemporary beer scene. This warming bock balances malty depth with subtle sweetness. The nose reveals caramel, dried fruit and dark fruit notes. On the palate, a full, round character emerges—malty and sweet with hints of toffee and dark stone fruit, tempered by a mild bitter finish. At 7.5% ABV, Pricus is a warming, substantial beer that rewards slow sipping. Well-suited to darker months and robust cheeses.
