About
Pelforth Brune is a French brown ale brewed in Mons-en-Barœul, near Lille in northern France. First brewed in 1935 using two types of malt and English yeast, it carries a century of heritage from its early 1900s origins. The brewery is now part of the Heineken portfolio. A straightforward, moderately strong brown ale with a decidedly sweet, malty character. The aroma presents roasted malt, dried fruit and subtle cocoa notes. On the palate, caramel and cooked fruit flavours dominate, supported by a smooth, rounded body and low carbonation. The finish lingers with molasses sweetness. Pelforth Brune is an approachable everyday drinker and one of France's best-selling regular beers.
