About
PAAP Dubbel II is a dark red Belgian dubbel brewed by PAAP Bier Broeders in Papendrecht. Twin brothers Jesper and Peter Schoonen craft this beer using only natural ingredients: water, malt, yeast and hops. The aroma offers notes of caramel, candi sugar and vanilla. On the palate, sweet malt flavours dominate with vanilla and caramel, balanced by a light bitterness. The beer displays a deep red colour with a broken white head. At 7.5% ABV, this is a full-strength dubbel with substance. The finish is lightly bitter and dry, providing welcome contrast to the sweet, rounded malt character.
