La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 37 is a distinctive blend of the classic Trappist quadrupel, aged in wooden barrels of oak, cherry and acacia with medium and heavy toasting. Koningshoeven Brewery revived this barrel-aging tradition in 2009, allowing the strong base beer months to mature in wood before further development in cool cellars.

This batch marries the full, sweet character of the original quadrupel with gentle oak notes and malty depth. The beer remains approachable despite its complexity, with a pleasant finish where wood and malt take centre stage. At 11% ABV, it warms and satisfies with full body.
