About
La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 25 is a commemorative release from Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven in Berkel Enschot, Netherlands. Blended in August 2016, this batch marks both the 25th anniversary of La Trappe Quadrupel and the 25th oak-aged batch in the series. The base quadrupel was aged in wooden casks previously used for kirsch schnapps, white wine and red wine. The aroma reveals vanilla, almond, honey and caramel, layered with oak and malt character. A fresh, wine-like quality emerges with floral and subtly acidic notes that distinguish this oak-aged expression. The palate retains the full, warming richness of the original Quadrupel, refined by wood influence and wine complexity. At 11% ABV, this is a contemplative beer built for patient appreciation and continued development in the bottle.
