About
La Trappe Oak Aged #49 is a rare expression of the celebrated Trappist Quadrupel brewed within the walls of Koningshoeven Abbey in the Netherlands. This beer has matured for 30 months in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, reviving a historic tradition that adds remarkable depth and character to the base beer. The palate is gently sweet and silky, with pronounced sherry-barrel influence. Dark brown sugar, oak, raisin and fig notes create a layered flavour profile, finishing with subtle tannins and fine balance. Soft carbonation enhances the creamy mouthfeel. A beer crafted for serious enthusiasts – complex, full-bodied and worthy of cellaring.
