Dark Matter is an 8.4% ABV Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration between Northern Monk of Leeds and Bristol-based Wiper & True. This dark, intense stout delivers rich roasted coffee flavours with chocolate and a full, thick body. The aroma is complex: roasted malt, coffee and cocoa dominate, with subtle notes of caramel and nuttiness. On the palate, those roasty elements return, supported by a balanced bitterness that never overwhelms despite the beer's strength. Despite its high alcohol content, Dark Matter drinks surprisingly well. The finish is dry and lingering, with a pleasant warmth that underscores its robust character.
