De Roos Dortmunder is a specially brewed beer for the September Roos Festival at Museumbrouwerij De Roos in Hilvarenbeek. This authentic village brewery, established in 1877 and rebuilt after the war, brews using original equipment and traditional methods. The Dortmunder is a spicy beer with a light bitter finish and an amber colour. At 6% alcohol, this is a characterful beer that follows the German export lager tradition. It reflects the dedication of 130 volunteers who have maintained this unique working brewery since 1995, where visitors can discover the history of brewing.
