Ale of Atholl from Moulin Brewery is a dark brown ale from the Scottish highlands, brewed in Pitlochry since 1999 at the inn-side brewery. This sessionable ale is made with natural ingredients and retains some yeast and residual sugar in the bottle for continued maturation. The aroma is faintly caramel-forward with mineral malt and hints of dark fruit. On the palate, biscuity, cakey malt dominates with a light bitterness and smooth character. The finish is dry and lingering, with subtle nutty notes rounding out a well-balanced brew.
