Mareklop Quadrupel Oak is the creation of hobby brewer Django Marceaux and partner Pimmy De Schoenmaeker. This robust Quadrupel at 12% ABV incorporates wood chips to add an extra layer to the core recipe. The beer presents as dark brown with a full, complex character where the wood aging contributes subtle but noticeable depth. The nose shows sweet malty character with hints of spice and nut. On the palate, dark malt dominates, complemented by banana and raisin notes typical of Belgian strong ales. The wood aging adds warmth and structure without overwhelming the beer's inherent character.
