Val-Dieu Brune is a characterful Dubbel at 8% brewed by Abbaye du Val-Dieu using recipes inspired by the Cistercian monks who originally worked at the abbey. This dark brown ale combines depth with smoothness, delivering a rich and complex drinking experience. Roasted malts give the beer its deep colour and prominent aromas of coffee, mocha and caramel. Belgian yeast contributes fruity esters and notes of dried fruit. The result is noticeably less sweet than many other dubbels, with a clean, dry finish that refreshes despite the higher alcohol content.
