About
Houblon Chouffe is Belgium's pioneering Belgian IPA, brewed by Brasserie d'Achouffe in the Ardennes village where two brothers-in-law first fired up their cowshed brewery in 1982. This beer bridges Belgian tripel tradition with hop-forward character. A distinctive blend of Saaz, Tomahawk and Amarillo hops delivers bright citrus and grapefruit notes alongside herbal spice and rounded bitterness. Pale blonde and lightly hazy, it pours with a generous head. At 9% ABV, the alcohol warmth remains well-hidden beneath the fresh, fruity profile, making this a surprisingly approachable beer despite its assertive hop presence. A hybrid that respects both its Belgian roots and modern hop culture.
