Château Neubourg from Gulpener is a Dutch pilsner named after the historic castle that stands near the brewery in Gulpen, Limburg. Since 1825, this independent family brewery has brewed with summer barley, local spring water and regional hops to create an authentic, characterful pilsner. The beer presents a spicy aroma with pronounced malt and hop notes. On the palate, a crisp, refined bitterness emerges, supported by a sophisticated blend of grain and fruit character. The finish is dry and clean, notably free of sweetness. Château Neubourg won the gold medal for best pilsner at the Dutch Beer Challenge three years in succession. A superior pilsner that pairs well with fish, asparagus and light salads.
