About
Madame Rose from Goose Island is an American interpretation of the Belgian Oud Bruin style. This crimson-hued ale is fermented with wild yeast and aged for nearly two years in wine barrels with tart Michigan cherries. The result is a complex, sour ale with sharp cherry character, hints of vanilla and barrel spice, and a funky, lively fermentation profile that defines the beer's personality. Wild yeast fermentation and extended wood aging create layers of sourness and fruit complexity. This is no sweet fruit beer, but a serious, tannic ale with a dry, lingering finish.
