Forst Sixtus is a robust Doppelbock from the foothills of the Italian Alps, brewed in the German tradition of strong Starkbiers. The Forst brewery, founded in 1857 in Merano, crafts this beer using a special fermentation process and carefully selected malts that deliver a dark colour and rich flavour profile. Sixtus opens with aromas of roasted malt, caramel and liquorice. On the palate, it is velvety and malty with warm notes of roasted spice and caramel, balanced by gentle hop character. The finish is refined and harmonious, with no harsh edges.
