Brouwerij der Trappisten van Westmalle Westmalle Dubbel

About

Westmalle Dubbel is a dark, reddish-brown Trappist beer brewed by the monks of Westmalle Abbey since 1856. It stands as one of the earliest beers in the Belgian Dubbel style and remains a cornerstone of the monastery's brewing heritage. Bottle-conditioned for secondary fermentation, the Dubbel develops a rich, complex character. It pours with a creamy head and delivers herbal and fruity flavours balanced by subtle caramel notes. The palate is smooth and refined, with a medium-to-full body and a dry, pleasantly bitter finish that lingers. At 7% ABV, this is a contemplative beer—warming without harshness, inviting you back for another sip.
