Phoenix is a juicy American-style IPA from Buxton Brewery, brewed in the picturesque Victorian spa town of Buxton, England. The beer blends heritage pale malts with rye to create an effervescent, crisp foundation. Mosaic, Simcoe and Ekuanot hops deliver abundant ripe mango and stone fruit alongside bright citrus notes. The result is a dry, tropical IPA with striking balance between fruit character and hop bitterness. The nose is lively with fresh hoppy aromas, mango, pineapple and tangerine. On the palate, stone fruit and tropical notes dominate, finishing dry and clean. Despite its 6% ABV, Phoenix drinks smooth and sessionable, avoiding the sweetness of New England-style IPAs.
