Lipreader is a Scandinavian-style country ale from Butcher's Tears, the Amsterdam brewery founded by Felicia von Zweigbergk. This 7% ale is brewed with oak-smoked malt and hand-picked juniper twigs sourced from Bohuslän on Sweden's west coast. The beer pours ruby red with aromas of smoke, chestnut and woodsmoke. On the palate, caramel and smoked grain meld with spicy juniper notes and dark fruit character. The finish is dry and smoky, with a full body suited to cooler months. A distinctive expression of Nordic brewing tradition.
