Brouwerij De Toekomst crafted this masterpiece in 2020 by concentrating a 2000-litre batch of Dubbel through eisbocking, raising the alcohol from 7.5% to 12.5%. The beer was then aged for months in various casks, including Scottish whisky and bourbon barrels (Auchentoshan and Jim Beam). The result is a complex, intense beer with dark fruit character and warming alcohol presence. The eisbocking technique concentrates the original beer's character while adding layered depth. This is not a conventional Eisbock, but a deliberately matured masterwork that draws its strength and complexity from both the concentration process and wood aging.
