Zoom Boom is an ambitious Black IPA from AF Brew in Saint Petersburg, Russia, born from a cross-border collaboration with Tartu brewery in Estonia. This is no light IPA: the dark beer merges the full, juicy character of a New England-style IPA with the smoky, roasted notes typical of darker malts. The nose reveals dark chocolate and coffee, supported by subtle hop aromatics. On the palate, roasted grains and cocoa dominate, complemented by the characteristic juiciness of a modern IPA. The finish is dry and bitter, with a warming alcohol note befitting its 8% ABV.
