Gulden Draak Classic is a dark red tripel brewed by Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde, Belgium. Since 1986, this 10.5% ABV strong ale has been traditionally crafted with noble hops and distinctive yeast strains, then bottle-conditioned for added complexity. The beer pours coppery brown with a ruby glow and maintains a stable white head. The nose reveals a malty-sweet foundation with dried fruit character, particularly figs. On the palate, rich caramel malts blend with roasted grain and coffee notes, complemented by dark fruits and warming spice. The finish is dry and lingering, with a characteristic boozy warmth.
