About
Noordt's LagerLab No.10 reimagines the Pre-Prohibition East Coast Porter as a lager, bridging two brewing traditions. English immigrants brought their beloved porters to America, while German brewers adapted the style using lager yeast—a cultural fusion captured here. Dark brown with a firm khaki head and high carbonation. The nose carries roasted coffee and bread. The palate shows coffee and chocolate character, smoothed by flaked corn into a creamy yet crisp body. A subtle red fruit note adds intrigue without disrupting balance. Cluster hops and lager fermentation create something historically curious: a porter that drinks lighter and crisper than its ale counterpart, yet retains the roasted depth of the style.
