Devil's Eye from Brouwerij In de Nacht is an ambitious Russian Imperial Stout from Weert with a devilish character. This powerful beer has matured for eight months in Scottish barrels, delivering soft complexity and full beer flavour despite its high alcohol content. In the glass it appears jet black with a mysterious ruby glow when held to light. The aromas speak of coffee and cocoa with roasted notes, complemented by subtle pepper. The taste follows the same pattern: coffee and chocolate dominate, with hidden caramel and maltiness, finished with a spicy pepper in the distance.
