Keizer Karel Goud Blond is a strong golden ale from Brouwerij Haacht, created in honour of Emperor Charles V, a noted beer enthusiast. This top-fermenting specialty beer at 8.5% ABV presents a full, sweet character with spicy notes and a light bitter finish. The beer displays a robust malt body enhanced by classic Belgian yeast character. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel and dried fruit precede a palate that opens with sweetness and hints of chocolate and ripe fruit, concluding with a dry, bitter edge.
