Primus is an authentic Belgian classic from Brouwerij Haacht, an independent brewery that has brewed beer in Boortmeerbeek since 1898. This crisp pilsner is brewed using traditional methods with natural ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast. Primus presents itself as a balanced pilsner with a slightly sweet opening and a dry, thirst-quenching finish. The aroma displays grassy and fruity notes, while the flavour is shaped by classic pilsner malt and subtle hop bitterness. Lively carbonation supports its refreshing character. This pilsner ranks among the better representatives of the Belgian pilsner style and won bronze at the World Beer Awards 2015.
