About
Vijfde Wiek is a distinctive experiment from Brouwerij Durs in Velp. This beer is brewed with five different grain varieties—an unconventional choice for a brewery where one to three grains typically form the foundation. From a single 2000-litre batch, five distinct fruity variations emerged, each with its own character. At 6% ABV, this specialty beer delivers a complex flavour profile with fruity notes, acidity and a creamy texture. The aromas are both sweet and tart, while the palate combines lime-like sourness with fruit. It reflects Brouwerij Durs's boundary-pushing philosophy: authentic Arnhem beer, brewed with passion and craftsmanship.
