Opium Cake by 8 Wired is an Imperial Milk Stout from New Zealand, brewed in collaboration with Polish brewery Pinta. The beer draws inspiration from Makowiec, the traditional Polish poppy seed roll, and is crafted with poppy seeds, lactose, orange peel, raisins and vanilla. This complex stout delivers roasted coffee and cocoa notes alongside toffee and dark fruit character. Lactose provides substantial body and residual sweetness, while poppy seeds and raisins add subtle texture and fruity depth. At 11% ABV, it's a full-bodied, warming imperial stout with a carnival of layered flavours.
