About
Straffe Hendrik Heritage is a limited annual release from Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges. This robust quadrupel is brewed each autumn and matured for a minimum of one year in oak barrels, creating a distinctive flavour evolution. Barrel aging brings depth to the beer: vanilla, caramel and toasted oak harmonise with the rich character of specialty malts. The result is wine-like with notes of dark fruit, cherry undertones and subtle smokiness. Barrel tannins integrate seamlessly with the complex taste profile. At 11% alcohol, this beer delivers warmth and full body, finishing with a lingering, refined aftertaste where plum and red fruit linger.
