Since 1975, Anchor Christmas Beer has been Anchor Brewing Company's annual winter tradition in San Francisco. Each year the brewery crafts a different recipe for the season, ensuring no two vintages are alike. This limited-release beer weaves spices and dark malts into a warming, layered experience suited to festive occasions. At 5.5% ABV, it surprises with its complexity and drinkability despite a full-bodied character. The deep mahogany pour and rich malt foundation evoke classic winter ales, while subtle spice notes—particularly ginger—add dimension to the palate. Available from November through January, it has become a collector's favourite among beer enthusiasts.
