About
Adelardus Dubbel from Brouwerij Kerkom in Sint-Truiden is a dark brown abbey beer brewed in 2002 at the request of the foundation 'Abbey, Town and Region'. Named after a historical figure, it reflects the brewery's cultural and educational approach. At 7% ABV, this high-fermentation beer delivers a rich, malty character with pleasant complexity. The brew combines barley malt, wheat malt, corn flakes and oats, finished with four herbs: coriander, orange peel, licorice and gruit spice. Two Belgian hop varieties and the brewery's house yeast provide balance and depth. Every step of production at Kerkom remains handcrafted, from hop to glass, preserving tradition and quality. Best enjoyed at around 7°C, Adelardus reveals its full flavour profile at this temperature. It is a beer rooted in history, from a farmhouse brewery continuously brewing since 1878.
