Ray is an American-style Pale Ale from Amsterdam, brewed by Oedipus Brewing in collaboration with cultural venue Paradiso. At 5% ABV, this hop-forward beer delivers refreshing character with a distinctly European perspective. Five hop varieties—Cascade, Chinook, Citra, Columbus and Simcoe—layer citrus, passionfruit and floral notes into a balanced, flavourful profile. Oedipus incorporated brown and white rice into the grist to achieve a dry fermentation that showcases the hop complexity. The result is a medium-bodied ale with less bitterness than an IPA, yet plenty of personality.
