Mannenliefde is Oedipus Brewing's inaugural commercial release, launched in 2012 by four friends who met at Beertemple, Amsterdam's American beer bar. This farmhouse saison blends barley and wheat malt with lemongrass, Szechuan pepper and Sorachi Ace hops, then bottle-ferments with champagne yeast for fine, elegant carbonation. The beer presents as light and refreshing with a hazy golden hue. The nose offers prominent lemon zest alongside herbal and coconut notes from the Sorachi Ace. On the palate, flavours are dry and fruity with a subtle spice bite, supported by a delicate body. The finish is crisp and clean, encouraging another sip. Mannenliefde claimed Best of Show at the 2025 Brussels Beer Challenge.
