Jera is a tripel from Brouwerij IJssel, located in Krimpen aan den IJssel in the Netherlands. Named after the ancient rune meaning 'year' or 'harvest', this beer is brewed with Pilsen malt and candy sugar to reach 9.5% ABV. Citra and Golding hops contribute fruity notes to the profile. The brewery, founded by Erik Terlouw after four years of homebrewing, brings craft beer back to the IJssel region for the first time since 1900. Jera balances the warming character of a strong tripel with approachable fruitiness.
