About
Achel Tripel is the strong blonde ale from De Achelse Kluis, a Trappist brewery in Hamont-Achel with a brewing tradition since 1850. This is a classic Belgian tripel at 8% alcohol: fruity, spiced, and sweetly balanced before drying toward the finish. The aroma displays golden fruit notes, floral character, and distinct Belgian yeast. On the palate, banana, honey, and clove emerge alongside sweet malt and caramel. The beer carries medium body with good carbonation and fades with an almost imperceptible hop bitterness. This tripel pairs well with abbey cheese or serves as an aperitif after a tour of the monastery.
